We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based in Kolkata for handling North American clients in a work-from-home setup.The role of Customer Service is centric on the company's daily functioning. Broadly speaking, the day-to-day requirement of the job profile would be the following: Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate the flow of inbound and outbound freight while staying abreast of daily priorities and weekly transportation targets. 2. Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures 3. Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to effectively negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction 4. Communicate with carriers and the customers to resolve any discrepancies 5. Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL and carrier confirmation. 6. Proactively communicate service risks to customers to provide proper resolution -Tracking logistics: a. Tracking shipments and punctuality of each job's execution. b. Have direct communication with team members regarding any issues and emergencies. c. Maintain records of customers to do the growth analysis. d.
